30 SHARING A FEW THINGS I'VE LEARNT

  • Understanding is not agreeing
  • Acceptance does not mean consent
  • Knowing is not doing
  • Hearing is not the same as listening
  • Reading does not mean comprehension
  • Tolerance is not acceptance
  • Existing is not living
  • Potential is not reality, it is a hypostasis, a possibility of what may be “if” the stars were aligned perfectly.
  • Being wrong is not always a bad thing
  • Being right is not always a good thing
  • Everything is not always about right or wrong…sometimes it just IS

  2. Those are excellent! I completely agree with each one of them. I agree with your comment on my best friend’s grand baby. Isn’t she beautiful? She is tottering around walking some now.

  5. FABZ,

LOVE your philosophical aphorisms woven poetically into verse. i think it’s more subtle and profound on the surface than much other poetry you’ve shared on your blog—kudoes!

may i add "writing is not communicating and "lust is not love" ? (not that they belong with your listed proverbs–your items possess a feeling of completeness all their own)

    1. its the truth, often when one is asked to accept someone or a situation they automatically assume it means to consent to or to agree to when i fact all it means is to accept a person or situation for what it is no more no less.

  16. In life, once we stop learning, we become stagnated in one spot and stop growing. I am a student of life as well, and don't think I will ever graduate, lol. Interesting lessons.
