4 SOME SUFFERING IS OPTIONAL

Sometimes human beings are the source of their own suffering. This is most evident when at times we refused to tell the truth of who we are in preference of manipulating others perception of us. When we allow shame the dominance to narrate who are, how we behave and influence who we are to become.

When we hold too long to relationships we know is no longer nurturing, encouraging, uplifting or inspiring us but diminishing, degrading, sabotaging, eroding and corroding our self-esteem, self-worth and self value leaving us a fraction of a true selves.

You cannot hide your greatness indefinitely under a blazing bushel at some point the flame will extinguish and there you are.

Life challenges at times may seem insurmountable but they're doable. It does not require finesse or grace to triumph. All that is required is a little courage, a willingness to forge through with a sprinkle of fortitude and determination and you will get over, under, around and through.

• Choose to be you without apology and know that you are ENOUGH.. 
• Be the acceptance you seek. 
• Joy is a choice, choose it regardless of what comes your way.  
• Teach yourself to honor yourself, your spirit, your soul and understand the value of YOU.
• Develop healthy boundaries and set the standard for how you will be treated.

2 RHYTHM AND LYRICS DON'T ALWAYS MATCH

Sometimes life is like a song

The rhythm is right but the lyrics are wrong

While you're forced at times to move to the beat

You endeavor to seek the opportunity to create your own symphony

Where the rhythm and lyrics marry beautifully

Creating harmony between head, heart, mind, body, and spirit

20 Just Live, Take Nothing for Granted

Life can be like the weather – fickle and ever changing. While we are able to foreshadow some events and circumstances we are not able to accurately predict every moment, every experience, the outcome or how it will impact and transform our life, mind and spirit. Our life cycle’s path like the weather can be unpredictable taking us through unfamiliar terrain that sweeps us through some valleys and rivers we are not sure we will survive, can survive or want to survive. The trick is to Just live, Just be and never take anything for granted.

41 Traded Authenticity

If you give up all of whom you are,

Over extend yourself at the expense of your self-esteem,

Compromise your integrity and dignity,

Sacrifice everything in exchange for external validation, love and acceptance.

You have dishonoured yourself

Your actions is a detriment to YOU, your spirit, your soul

This is the act of self-negation and in doing so

You have, established to those to whom you surrender,

That your core belief is…

You are not enough,

You are not unworthy

You are unwilling, unable to advocate for you on your own behalf

In this space you will remain…

Unaware, unconscious and unenlightened,

Wrapped in powerlessness and inadequacy

Not understanding that…

YOU, you teach others how to treat you,

YOU, teach others how to see you,

Which begs the question…

If you do not respect you, whom do you expect to?

If you do not validate you, whom do you, expect will?

If you do not love you, how will you recognize loving kindness?

How will you be able to distinguish the difference?

If you do not accept you as you are with all your perfect imperfections, poor judgements, ill manners, and multitude of mistakes, whom do you expect will want to if you, the proprietor of self, do not want you?

The thing is…

Everything you need and want lies within you!

You are fully equipped;

God did not make a mistake in your creation

The heavenly father does not make mistakes

It all starts with you and in you!

Validate, Love and accept yourself as you are

Understand

You are enough!

Know your worth

And…

Understand in all things, situations, and circumstances,

Your value and what you bring to the table of life.

Peace….

BE MINDFUL THAT...

One's constant denial, rejection, negation and abandonment of self in order to please everybody else does nothing to enlighten, nourish or replenish the soul only defeat, denounce and guarantee the decay of the spirit.

60 Pontificating “just because”

 

-       Just because one is fertile it means one should become a parent(s). Just because one can marry it means one should marry.

-       Just because one can get what they want, when they want, from whom they want it means they should take advantage.

-       Just because one is popular it means that one is loved.

-       Just because one knows some things it means one knows everything or should have opinions about all things.

-       Just because one looks nice it means that one is nice.

-       Just because one is handsome or beautiful it means one is of good character. Physical attractiveness is not a barometer or testament to decency, kindness and integrity

 

Just because is an assumption carried by a perception however it is not a definition of whom or what one should or could be. Place more value on self; do not get carried away by the voice of everyone else

Think…

Accept…

Embrace…

Love yourself…

Stop wishing to be someone else, anyone else, anybody else but yourself and start living.

Do not allow your SELF to drown in the envy of everybody else or saturate in the petty jealousies of everything else.

You are enough as you,

Perfectly imperfect

Learn to love it,

Learn to love YOU.

Why…..

Because you are worthy

Because the infinite quandaries of “Just because” leads to physic torture, leading you on all fours if you are not hip to the cause, the rhyme and the reason for its toxicity. 

Just be yourself.

Just because is not a justifiable reason to overindulge no matter how reasoned it seems nor is it a good rationale to give up free will and choice.

Yet, with every breath you condemn me

Words fly out your mouth without doubt

“Baby I love you, come let me hold you”

“Your breasts are so small, get some implants for me”

Spewing words that threaten to dismantle me

Contaminate me

Deconstruct me

Annihilate me

Naively I could not see that YOU were the enemy

Until you declared your love for me

With a punctuated slap and a chokehold that stunned me

Couldn’t catch my breath

I was so perplexed

It get me vex

The anger riled in me

Looking for context

Muted in place

Mind racing to comprehend

Going through the who, what, why, where and when

Bamboozled,

Dizzy from the mental query

Questioning…

How could all this be happening to me?

What’s going on?

What went wrong?

Who is this man?

God…

Who. He. Be?

Singing sweet words of loving eternity

Only to devour my spirit and suffocate the WILL in me

I didn’t expect a saint

Neither did I expect SATAN

Serving up “love” with a reprimand

I am worth more than the back of a man’s hand

I’ve had enough!

Once is all it takes

No need to be chained to this mistake

Bathe with it,

Use it as a deodorant,

As a disinfectant,

Suck on it to clean your insides (good anti-oxidant),

Like life…
