34 WALK THE TALK

JUST DO IT!

Talking about it …

And talking about it…

And talking about it….

Won’t get you doing it

Put words into action and get moving

Don’t get lost in the logistics of how, why, where, should and could

There is an infinite mountain of those...

It only keeps you stuck and trapped in the “I want to”, "if only”, “ideally if this was that” while time matches on.

Just do it!

Put the… If I woulda, coulda, shoulda, possibly’s, if only’s, ideally’s in a box

Rise up even as fears, doubts and insecurities dog your heels

And just do it!

Courage does not reside in the absence of fear

It dwells alongside it

So…

Just do it!

Walk the talk

  3. Wonderful mantra…do it
The difference between those that can and those that can’t,
that first step, followed by another then another…
I have done both, and I am very happy about my steps as a can and will doer.

  5. Good morning,
Wouldn’t we all like to have the money that the Nike corporation made of that phrase, "Just Do it!"
I was talking to a friend the other day and we were discussing that the worst words to say in our later years is, "I s wish I would have…"
Have a wonderful end of week Ms. Fab…Greg

  10. Fabz,

my faVORITE LINE IN THIS ONE IS "Put the… If I woulda, coulda, shoulda, possibly’s, if only’s, ideally’s in a box"–STRONG imagery and nice sounds in your chosen words(notably the words "in a box")

  15. Reminds me of a time when I was young and at a baseball game in my hometown. One of the players was the boyfriend of one of my girlfriends. Every time he would come up to bat the crowd would chant 'Dammit Dimmit (his last name) do it.' Funny but that is the first thing I thought of when I read your poem and believe me that was about 100 years ago. ;-)
