44 IF

If...

If I had a cent for every thought that races through my mind

I wouldn’t have to work for a dime

Waste my time trying to find creative ways to cultivate me time,

Counting every dime to see if I have any for vacation time

Wondering if I’ll have enough to treat myself to a bling bling

A frivolous WANT circumventing need

Enough that I don't bleed

Or

Would I have to luxuriate and squander all my thoughts on wonder thinking

If I had this thing,

I could get that thing,

And do this and that thing,

Have a taste of something

Experience a little thing

Before I had to get back...

To the reality of balancing nothing

In order to have something

If

  2. Good morning Fab…
    Wonderful piece of writing.
Can our minds bring confusion where our hearts are designed to bring peace.
It is quite a balancing act as you have shared.
Have a superb week my very intelligent friend,

  7. I like IF, but I try to focus on Do. If is not tangible enough for me.

  12. Should we stay on 'IFs', we are likely to live life only in our heads... and with regrets about our actions of yesterday...
