Who I am today
Is not who I may be tomorrow
Though I may look the same
Sound the same
My thinking may have changed
My discernment influenced by the things I learnt
The day before yesterday,
Yesterday,
Today
And will undoubtedly be shaped by the lessons of tomorrow
Impacting the way I articulate myself
The way I … Reason.
So though I may look the same
Sound the same
Laugh the same
I may not think the same
For I am always …..
…..evolving

It is a very serious and heavy subject said in so simple lines.
ReplyDeleteI read "that everything in our life is in constant change, constantly in the process of becoming something else. Nothing stays exactly as it is. Nothing. Movement and change constitute the reality of our being.....To many this is a frightening and daunting phenomenon, as most of us crave stability, but stability is an illusion, and you and your circumstances will change whether you like it or not, whether you want them to or not, because they cannot and will not remain the same."
The key to success "in life is to become an active and creative participant in our ever evolving and changing life"
Rhapsody, thanks a bunch for the wonderful post.
Good Monday morning…
ReplyDeleteSummer mornings are the best time to be outside tending to God’s garden. Now it is time for coffee, laptop, and a Rhapsody read…
Always a blessing to come by for a visit to contemplate from our hearts.
We are a part of a “Journey.” Together, individually, both with God God if we allow Him.
My Monday thought on our evolution:
God uses challenges, not to destroy us, but to develop us.
You have a wonderful week too…Greg

Hello:)
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful post which has a lot of meaning for us.Yes, we look the same, laugh the same but our thinking has changed and keeps on changing. This is the only way humans can survive. Just think of our ancestors who ate raw meat and used crude stone weapons to hunt.
Change is the only permanent thing in life.I can see it in my children. There was a time when they used to write letters to Father Christmas and give to me for posting to the North Pole. Now they tell me I don't know anything. They have radically changed as they grew up although I did not notice it until one of them said I don't know anything:)
I know my knowledge has become obsolete and I am struggling to cope with changes taking place all around me.I know I have to update my skills if I want to survive but it is a losing battle as far as I am concerned. My thinking is old,my attitude towards things are different from what is expected of me in the present days.
Your post states the actual situation at present and you have very beautifully hit the nail on the head.Of course,as a proof I found your profile photo is constantly changing:)
Best wishes:)
Joseph
Beautifully written... Yes, we are all evlolving every day... As per science, we are also different people as millions of cells die and millions of new cells are formed..
ReplyDeleteAnother thought which emerges on reading your wonderful blog - we all die every day when we go into deep sleep.. and when we awaken, with God's grace, it is He who gives us our memeory back and enables us to have the continuity... Yet, as you say, we are changed in our thinking, our outlook and our perspectives...
beautiful... keep writing, keep inspiring..
Very beautiful and powerful statement! However it is unfortunate that some people do not evolve and therefore only have tunnel vision.
ReplyDeleteI love it!
