28 My Will

I will my will to live
In spite of the darkness that surrounds me
I will my will to live
Despite of the desolation that threatens to consume me
I will my will to live
To triumph over the clouds that encompasses me,
Haunt me,
Taunt me,
Degrade me,
Suffocate me,
Irk me,
Debase me,
Berate me,
All mocking me,
Trying to convince me to give up.
I will not!
I dare not!
I will my will to rise up!
I will not surrender
I will my will to live because...
I am stronger than the needle that occasionally punctures my hope,
Drains my happy dragging me into melancholy
I will my will to live...
Through another day,
Another hour,
Another minute,
Another second,
Another breath,
Another moment,
Because my will has convinced me,
I am more than this moment of pain.
I am more than this moment of shame.
I am more than the humiliation of things past.
I am precious in my impotence of weaknesses.
I am prefect in my imperfectness.
And thought I may wallow from time to time
In the juices of my unsureness and fear
I know that the sun will shine again
And my will, will triumph over all things.

    A shaking one …
Wonderfully wrought to make everyone stop and think for a while …

  4. Hi

Amazing poem. A lot of thought has gone into writing this lovely poem.

I agree with you WILL POWER is of paramount importance for us to survive in the face of insurmountable obstacles. It is not the falling down but lying down is a crime. All of us know the old saying – WHERE THERE IS A WILL, THERE IS A WAY.

At first I thought this post was a riddle. But as I kept on reading till the end, I realized that this post is all about WILL and how it will help to overcome problems and succeed in life.

This is a highly educative and instructive poem and will be of immense help to all of us.

I am thrilled to see that you are a multifaceted personality with diverse talents including prose, poetry, cooking, management and photography. I am green with envy

Before I forget, you have taken so much trouble to visit so many of my posts and write comments. But I am very unhappy to say that I could not read all your comments because I have no way of finding out where they have gone. What a pity! Once again I need your help to locate them. May be I am clumsy but then I have to admit my frailties.

Let me take leave of you now albeit reluctantly,

Till we meet again, my best wishes to you:)
    Joseph

  6. Hi Rhapsody,

Please come by blog and pick up your award.

And pass it on to 5 blogs of your choice.

It would be good if you would choose some blogs new to you.

Please mention who you got the award from, when you put it on your sidebar add link to blog you received it from.

You can also make a comment about the person who gave the award to you by asking your readers to stop by their blog, pay them a visit, leave a comment, or even 'follow' their blog if they feel led to.

Pass the award on to other blogs and contact these bloggers to let them know they have been chosen for this award.

Just go to their site and leave a comment to one of their posts telling them you have an award for them and to please come by your blog to get it.

I am not passing this award along as much as I am giving you a list of blogs to check out and hopefully follow.

I know some of those I have selected may prefer not to participate in this little exercise and that is fine, no problem. Please visit these blogs and if you leave a comment maybe say Herrad sent you.

    Love,

    Herrad

We can be what we will ourselves to be only if we believe in our will to make it so.

  20. Fab One, there’s too much negativity coming at us from all directions; it’s easy to feel overwhelmed.
That’s the bad news. The good news is that a choice can make the difference between whether the negativity brings you down or not. Sometimes it’s hard to choose to embrace goodness and light, but so worth the effort.
I wish you and your friend the strength to choose positivity.
    Sometimes it’s all we’ve got.
    I wish you peace.
    Marge
