The bus pulls into the subway station. Circling around the driver looks for an empty spot to park and let passengers off.
"Excuse me, excuse me, excuse me," can be heard as she moves her way urgently through passengers, her hands moving in and out in a swimming motion as she moved toward the front of the bus.
"Excuse me, excuse me!" She screeched louder people automatically parted with urgency of the shrieking cry. She reaches the front of the bus and had to wait like everyone else for the bus to stop. She garnered some incredulous looks. She breathes a deep sigh of relief and adjust her knapsack.
I just shook my head and laugh at the waste of expended energy only to be forced to wait along with Those she was desperate to surpass. Going nowhere fast and on a hurry.
That's funny, I watch something to the same affect happened on the subway yesterday morning. Then the train was held in the station because of police activity in another train station. This guy was pissed and started cursing out the New York Transportation System. It was funny to me because I knew he was late for work...
ReplyDeleteYeah, i've learnt to relax about stuff i just have no control over. Now i make sure i have my puzzle book, my books/novels either hard copy of digital that i've downloaded on my phone and i just chill out.
DeleteIt's like those speeding drivers.
ReplyDeleteYes indeed.
DeleteI agree with Christine. The first thing that came to my mind was those who speed up behind you. They whip zip and speed to get around you. But, just up the road...there they are. They got nowhere about the same time as you.
ReplyDeletehaha, so true.
DeleteMaybe she needed to go to the bathroom. I’ve discovered that there are some people that you just have to stand back for because they’re either having a problem or are just too self absorbed.
ReplyDeletePerhaps so but she still had to wait like the rest of us for the bus to stop and let passengers out.
DeleteI recently mentioned on my blog about people are in such a hurry. They do everything in a rush to save three minutes of time. Not realizing they are lousing years of life for stressing out their body. It's not an even trade.
ReplyDeletepeace and love
