In my long experience with otherwise nice people who smoke, there is a subdivision. I was, as was most of my generation, taught never to smoke tobacco in restaurants, buses, or any enclosed public space. It is no hardship to forgo smoking in peoples' homes, trains, theaters etc. However, there is a generation that has largely involuted into their own habits of smoking newly legalized combustibles in public. As an occasional tobacco smoker from a more courteous time, I can't see why pot users can't repair to the great outdoors for their habit.
ReplyDeleteIts simple mindfulness really. I don't much care if they smoke, i simply would like some mindful courteousness. i.e. check your surrounds, know which way the wind is blowing so you don't stand and blow smoke and the wind slaps in in someones face.

ReplyDeleteIt is as he was smoking a particularly potent smelling ganja that just adhere to my coat and had me smelling like a weed dispensary all the way home. Not my idea of Eau de parfum
