35 Trust Yourself-The Dilemma of Choice-Learn & Grow

If one decides to exercise the right NOT to choose for fear of failing, making a mistake or the wrong choice, then by the virtue of not choosing one has in fact chosen. Hence, one has elected to face the consequences of not choosing.

MY POINT:

Every single choice has a consequence, every one, the good ones and the not so good ones.

So, regardless of one’s decision, to choose or to not choose, one must deal with the outcome.

Which begs the question…..?

If one must face the consequences of choices, those made willingly and unwillingly, why not have a say in the matter since one is… by default inherently forced to live with? After all, seldom is every decision the best or right choice; sometimes it’s simply a matter of choosing the lesser of two evils until a better more feasible option presents itself.

The relevant truth to all this philosophical meandering am doing here is to say. Choices and its inherent end results allows us to grow and learn to become self-governing. Within every choice/consequence there are lessons, whether it is good, bad, or indifferent, there are lessons to be learnt.

So do not dwell morosely on the very human experience of sometimes making poor decisions, rather get the lessons therein designs specifically for you. Learn from your mistakes/missteps/mishaps, forgive yourself your humanness, implement lessons learnt into your landscape of knowledge, build your discernment, teach yourself to recognize the pattern of poor choice and try not to repeat errs in judgement.

Most of all, trust yourself.

Be a great day people.....much love.

A Side Note:

We not only learn from our own mistakes. We learn from the mistakes of others as we need not experience everything in order to learn and grow.

  6. To the point, I love the content of this post. You mentioned "Most of all trust yourself". I suppose at times we don't have that faith within us so whilst consciously making a choice instead we second guess the outcome in the same breath.

Fear is a bugger for spoiling things indeed.

    1. Yeah, sometimes when we make poor choices we become fearful of trusting ourselves. Self-trust is key to developing ones path.

      Second guessing i.e. self-doubt, oh that's a beast.

  15. Taking decisions is a must - right or wrong. Over a period of time as you grow & mature you slowly learn the art of taking good decisions. There is no such thing as a right or wrong decision. What is right for you may be wrong for another. You must take decisions that are good for you !

  17. Very well put Rhapsody. Regardless what choices we make, there is always a repercussion. Funny thing is, I have learnt that there are no mistakes. Mistakes are to me but unplanned actions that result in unplanned results. Looking back at my life yeah, most things I saw as mistakes then, inevitably made me the me I am. #grateful

Not too digress too much, I couldn't agree with you more. Not making a decision in its own is a decision.

Pretty neat Blog. I like it here. Hope to stay long here :)

It is always great to get another voice, another point of view in on the ongoing dialogue. Mistakes I like to call life lessons/guidelines on what not to do, what is not working signalling time to try something new, take another path and so on.
