May God bless her soul and erase the mole of depravity committed against her. May power of the almighty erase the pain embedded in her system long before she knew and recognize joy. May she rise and triumph in life with unbending faith and will, so that the seeds of vileness that touched body may not invade her mind and hinder her journey unto excellence. My heart aches and bleeds for this child and her mother.

DeleteA times we focus too much of our energy on the perpetrator, while they do deserve punishment, conviction for their deeds. It is the victims who needs our energy to heal and live.

I just think oh this baby, when a grown person is raped it devastates their mind, body and soul, imagine a child that have no words to articulate that kind of devastation and a helpless mother who is muted by the tragedy, she too is shattered. The worst reality of parenting is when you finally understand that you cannot protect your child from everything.

ReplyDeleteYeah, unfortunately, up to this morning, i kept thinking, this can't be true even knowing while I was thinking it the answer is, yeah its true because not 3 weeks ago there was an international story about a famous rock star Ian Watkins from the Lostprophets was arrested raping a baby, sexually touching a 1 year old and countless other sexual crimes against children. DeleteI am with you there in terms of having trouble digesting this kind of thing it still haunts me. Our capacity as human beings is so great in the things we can accomplish however the opposite is also true as we bare witness in the above post and others.
