32 Too Much Of A Good Thing

"Too much of a good thing is good for nothing”

Sometimes

Choice

IS

The problem

Questions that boggles the mind:

  1. When one is presented with many choices how does one choose to get a favourable outcome?
  2. Once one has chosen, can one live with the choices ones made?
  3. How does one make the right choice in the right time, for the right reason and circumstance?

The Dilemma:

Each choice brings with it a consequence one will be left to live with, experience as a result of choosing.

*Sigh*  blessed as we are with the power of choice “sometimes, choice is the problem.”

  7. Yes o. I always say the reason why many ladies have a hard time choosing what to wear is because they have many clothes. It wouldn't take them long if they had only 1 or 2. Lol

  8. It is a problem faced by one and all.The choice of what to dress or what to eat never poses a problem as we can easily change. But the problem is acute where one cannot very easily go back on some choices without some suffering.

    1. interesting yes, don't be shy to express yourself.

Truth absolutely, most of us articulate implicitly when we feel we have clearly made a choice because we have thought of the possible consequences and chose based on the circumstances the lesser of two evils.

The debate to negate arises when we steadfastly deny choosing a particular outcome simply because we feel we did not, NOT engage in the process of choice forgetting that in failing to make a decision (wrong or right, good or bad) that we have essentially chosen (i.e. we have left it up to another to do the choosing, we by our silence, refusal to choose) hence we by default are left to deal with the consequences regardless if we desire it or not.

The power is always in our hands...even when the possible outcomes sucks

    1. Very good question Michiko, very good question. I guess the truth is we don't always know and we do the best with what we have at the time we need to choose.

  12. With many choices, one can get stuck in analysis paralysis. At some point we just have to take all the information we have an make an educated decisions. And trust even if we make an unwise choice, God still knows how to work that for our ultimate good.

  13. This is an interesting post. What is the meaning of choice or making a choice? Within one would know what a bad choice is and what a good one is. If you make a choice to be the best lawyer in the world, for instance, you know that you have to work your way to the top. If you have a recurring doubts about it then it was not meant to be a choice. Again, choices might be influenced by societal pressures and wanting to please certain individuals as the case may be. It depends on the particular individual per se.

Some choices may be wrong. some right. but hey, one cannot always make the right choice at the right time. that's why life is a teacher and we go for it with all our best. fantastic questions ma.
you got me thinking here. simple post yet deep

    1. True enough, at the time we are making decisions we think its the right one based on how we are feeling and what we are dealing with, it is only later in the consequences we know for sure if it was a good/bad choice. At that stage if we are open to learning we get the lesson(s) embedded within the experience. If we are not up to learning, owning, growing, well then, brace yourself because life's gonna be a bumpy ride.
