ReplyDeleteWe want to be loved unconditionally, but are we willing to do the necessary work of learning to give it unconditionally? Definitely a good lesson in selflessness.
Isn't that always the way though? We want what we want when we want it and we are not always willing to give that which we ask for in return.

Delete........so LORD help me.....can't say yes or no...there are some people I love unconditional.....but to love every human being that comes my path????....hmmmm..dunno if I want to learn because am afraid to be hurt or stabbed at my back. #trudges away#

DeleteIn this selfish & materialistic world there are very few who are capable of unconditional love. And those who display this rare character are virtually saints or angels. It is generally quid pro quo - I love you but you love me back :)

DeleteAll love have strings.There is nothing like unconditional love.May be for a short time in the initial exuberance.The intensity changes.There are expectations in everything in human life.But then people learn to live with adjuustments without that mythical concept of unconditional love.

These questions are indeed thought provoking. Like others have admitted, there are no easy answers to them 'cos as imperfect human beings, it takes divinity to help us love unconditionally; but we can sure learn.
