71 UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

Nature’s kaleidoscope TapestryUnconditional love

Is not tailored tandem to one’s exact stipulations

Is not manipulating until specific needs are met,

Is not wilful confinement of affections till demands are fulfilled

That is control,

A psychological warfare

Waged upon those seeking love

Desperate to be loved,

Dying for love,

Too afraid to be loved

Secretly believe they do not deserve love

Cannot be love…

Who dare not imagine love as simple as …

One’s complete acceptance of self

The absolute loving of the I, the ME,

With all the flaws and idiosyncrasies

  1. Love is something transcendental. And I believe it has the power to lift all the chains on this path, they call "Life". *sighs!* Then again, to find unconditional love or to be capable of it; is in itself a feat being merely human— we can but try our inadequate best.

  3. The only unconditional love I think I’ve encountered so far has been from my parents and my sisters. They been there for me through thick and thin even when they have not agreed with my choices they’ve stood behind me and I’ve known I could count on their love and support no matter what.

  4. I think I beg to differ with the majority ( again ) any love that is truly given is unconditional,, it is those who try to put conditions on love who are unable to give ( or accept ) unconditional love,, I will agree you can only love a person based on what you know,, or possibly it would be better to say on as much as you know but still the love that is given truly is unconditional

    1. There is nothing wrong with differing with what seems to be a consensus. We all see and interpret the world differently and there is beauty in that because it allows us to view things/the world in ways we may have never conceptualized. In opening our eyes to another perspective you have enriched the landscape of our collective knowledges. Thank you for sharing.

It isn’t always about agreeing is about understanding .

  5. Hi Fab,
    How goes it?
I like to read your insights because they are insightful and worded very intelligently.
    Hmmm…True love…
True love will always think of others first.
    True love will forgive.
    Therefore,…True love will always prevail.
    Have a nice week, Greg

I have a tough time with complete acceptance of self. So hard I can be on my own self. Not good, not good at all. Thanks for providing me yet something else to think about. Stopping by here proves to be a learning experience. Many times I’m not even sure how to respond because the brain goes into overload thinking about whatever you have written. LOL

    1. hmmmmm, Oh Christina I understand believe me, so much in the world inhibits our ability to truly love and accept ourselves as we are. As we are judged and measured against societies "norm" so we learn to judge ourselves when (or if) we perceive that we don't "measure" up. The truth, we are all perfect in our imperfectness. My rule of thumb, embrace all that you are in spite societal contradictions and mixed messages."

  9. Hi…my name is Inga. I don’t know you, but have just read about myself and ‘Wendy’, on her site. I am unsure why you felt we needed to hear your opinion. I mean, for the price of a stamp, I can get ‘Ann Landers’. I have perused your site, and do not recognize the ‘style’ of writing. I do think your overuse of ‘five dollar words’ will cost you the intent of the message. Why on earth would someone want to read something, with a dictionary by their side. That is not to say I think people are inately stupid, but I do think it’s important to you, to ‘appear’ smart.

So, if you feel a strong desire to respond, please do so on the site I provided you.

    1. ON LEAVING COMMENTS ON BLOGS
      ■ If you do not wish others to make comments on your blogs then do not make your BLOG "PUBLIC".

      ■ Public means that anybody and everybody could view, read, and comment on your writings, sayings, poetry, ramblings or whatever else you decide to express.

      ■ By making your space PUBLIC and activating ADD COMMENTS you have by default given permission to whomever should encounter your blog the opportunity to read and or make comments should they choose.

      ■ If you wish to not get comments on your journalistic expressions such as they are, then you may want to consider making your BLOG EXCLUSIVE i.e. PRIVATE specific to Users you have invited that have your email/ID.

For anyone that is reading this PLEASE NOTE All comments are welcomed to COMMENT ON MY BLOG however, RUDE, RACIST, IGNORANT, VERBALLY ABUSIVE & MALICIOUS COMMENTS WILL ALL BE DELETED. While I may not be able to control 99.999% of what goes on in the real world, I am able to control 100% of what goes on in my blog.

      Peace....

    7. You were perfectly right to say whatever you did say on "that woman’s friend’s "blog. They’ve probably deleted it, but I might go there to check it out. I decided to make my space available only to me,(because of the abuse I was getting from the woman who wrote nasty stuff to you> RE" for a stamp, I can go to Ann Landers), and focus on the great people I know on FaceBook. I know that some, (alot?), of people abuse FaceBook, but I have no networks and it’s open only to friends and I’ve made it a nice place to go. The woman whom "bashed you", is very unstable, as is her friend, and she thinks it’s me trying to bother her. She will probably read this and try to "abuse me again".

Anyways, I really like your blog and I’m sorry I can’t let you see mine. Basically, I keep a very personal diary, daily quotes of inspiration, photo albums, book & music lists

    12. Wow thank you all for your support. I was very surprised by the confrontation, I was going to delete it then decided to share it with you all.

As far as i understand blogging/sharing/communicating on blogs that are public is with the specific intent to invite commenter’s with their perspective on what they have read. It is the way we connect with each other across the globe when we otherwise may never have encountered each other, as well as create a community of sorts, make friends and virtually socialize. Imagine my surprise, but like everything else in life, i just took it in stride and chuck it up to experience.

May God bless her and keep her always.

  10. Hello,
First of all, I wanted to thank you for visiting my blog and leaving the comment. Thought I’d drop in to see what you were about. Your comments on others blogs always interest me. You have a great blog. Very interesting. Sorry you had trouble because of your commenting on another's blog.

I agree, if a person doesn’t want comments, they should block them. Control problem I think. She does not like your style because it is different from hers. I believe that is what makes the whole spaces experience so interesting. Different kinds of people, different opinions, and different styles. I personally like your style, and find it both challenging and interesting. You are more than welcome to stop by my place any time. And maybe you should install a dictionary in your blog, just in case she visits. And as far as it being important that you "appear" smart, there will always be someone who is threatened by that. But when one is smart, then why would they want to appear less intelligent, just to make the insecure feel less threatened? But that is only my humble opinion. Thanks again for stopping by. I hope you come again.

  11. the literal translations of the last two comments in mandarin are easily gotten with the google and babel fish language tools. both lean much towards the culture they were "conditioned" by and they hit home in many questions i ask myself. i really do not know how to put through in depth what they were saying here so i shall just conclude by echoing my first comment (now i remember this post) and asking if you, Fab. having written theses words are yourself capable of loving "unconditionally" excluding of cos kinship.

I thank you for your trust in me and of cos i stand to e corrected in whatever i have expressed. peace be with you too!

    1. hmmmm, good question Dawn, had you ask me this question years ago I would have said no, today though I can say, yes I can love unconditionally. I do love myself and loving myself unconditionally i humbly confess is a work in progress. I can lie and say yes, the truth, I am not perfect hence I still got work to do. In other words, I am learning to forgive myself my humanness, accepting the things I cannot change and working the things I can.

I don't always agree with everything you write but that's ok. Afterall, though we are all alike as humans we are also equally different. Whew! Talk about wordy!

    1. It is not always about agreeing nor do I expect or demand it, for me it is more about understanding you view point. I love when you share your point of view even if it is in absolute opposition of my own because it is sharing your perspective that I garner a new way to view the situation. There is nothing wrong with that, in fact its great and I welcome it. I can agree to disagree and be ok with that.

    1. Ah absolutely percious, it seem a virtual needle in the haystack for sure, well if we are fortunate enough to be blessed with it and wise enough to recognize the blessing then it would make good sense to cherish that which is infinitely valuable.

  24. I do think that unconditional love exists and I don't think it is hard to find at all really.... hopefully most people have it somewhere in there life. I try my best to always give it out. It's easier to unconditionally love people I've known for a longer period of time though. I have received it as well. It's a great feeling to know that even if you hurt/frustrated/disappointed/etc. a person, they won't turn their back on you. I guess it`s because we value the person much more than the wrong that was done to us... and we would much rather forgive than not have them in our lives.

  25. Hello,

    Greetings and good wishes.

Very well written post on an important subject. While we expect unconditional love from others we should be able to reciprocate in the same fashion. This is rarely the case. Those who expect unconditional love could be self centered and not prepared to give unconditional love. Then the problem starts.

It is wonderful to see that you have built up a multitude of friends all over the world. Congratulations. I have to find a way to catch up on my blogging.

    Best wishes,
    Jospeh
