  2. These are all very beautiful words, but for me the most powerful are the last few - "you have my attention, I am here and I am listening."

    1. That is very important. Everyone wants to know that they are heard and what they have to say has value and taken seriously and with consideration

    2. RE: Your latest comment on my blog Fabulicious, "Character cannot be appropriated." left me a tad confused. i’ll be much grateful if you could elaborate on what you are trying to say

    3. Character cannot be appropriated means it cannot be bought, It cannot be stolen from someone and adhered to yourself in hopes that your characteristics may match the persons you admire. One can appropriate clothes, property, etc, character however is not something anyone can appropriate, you feel me?

  18. At the risk of sounding old, when I was a child manners and politeness were much more common than they seem to be these days. I have lost count of the times when I have purchased something from a shop and been grunted at by a sales assistant, or been shoved out of the way by a fellow customer in a supermarket with no apology. Common courtesy is no less important now than it was in the past. It’s not so difficult to remember common courtesy. Don’t let it die out due to weak excuses like lack of time. Treating others as you would like to be treated is a good rule to live by, and it begins with good manners and respect.
    Wonderful entry!!

    1. hmmmmm....its all good, old is not a swear word, each day is a blessing. The difference is I think people today feel a combination of things, entitled, stressed, isolated, angry at the world all of that make for a some of what we see and experience, its not an excuse just a statement of the state of things. Some of us are able to rise above the crap like cream and still greet the world with a smile. Some not so much.
