Sometimes the hardest thing is to say nothing when life requires you to be silent and to speak when circumstances dictates you say something. The challenge lies in choosing the appropriate response in the appropriate time, for the appropriate situation.
Mindfulness Thought:
Be present in the moment and in tune with your thoughts and surroundings so you will know precisely when to act and when to observe. Sometimes you may get it right sometimes you may not, either way there is a lesson to be learnt.

Amen to that my friend!
ReplyDeleteexcellent! Hotep and God bless.
ReplyDeleteGood evening Fab…
ReplyDeleteYep…A lot of wisdom in the words, “"Be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry."
We get ourselves in trouble when we slow to listen, quick to speak, and quick to get angry.
We can also learn a lot when we tune into the feelings behind words.
The words that come out of a persons mouth can be deep waters.
Have a wonderful weekend…Greg
learning to be Slow to speak is the challenge. I am still learning that one!
DeleteHow very true ! and although mindful of the difference I still error..:)
ReplyDeleteBE Well
Barb
To err is human
DeleteHow very true those words are. Sometimes difficult to distinguish between whether to speak or not. There is another saying that goes……………………………………."WHY REMAIN SILENT AND APPEAR THE FOOL, WHEN ONE CAN OPEN ONES MOUTH AND REMOVE ALL DOUBT."
ReplyDeleteYet one must be wise and think before one speak because words once spoken cannot be taken back and an apology is at times a little too late.
DeleteI found my way here through Greg’s Blog….
ReplyDeleteSo much truth in what you have written…I like it very much!
Cynthia
thank you. please come again.
DeleteYou didn’t over step and you made some very valid points some which I was already following and some I was not. I just don’t understand how one minute you are talking and the next nothing. Seems odd. Anyway, I had been going about my life, I go to school full time online when I get done working plus I have other obligations so I hadn’t been available just when he always wanted me to be…plus when he had his stuff to do, I was like you need your life just as I need mine. I was in a really bad relationship awhile ago where I did everything he wanted and when he wanted….I made a promise to myself I’d never be that again. After a good night’s sleep, I’ve decided that my life is important and I’m a great person and if he can’t see that, too bad for him!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the much needed comment! I do appreciate it, it was insightful…..
Have a beautiful day!Cynthia
Relationships are difficult and require must love, understanding and tolerance.
DeleteTruly, knowing is the hard part.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the truth though? Lord knows I fully understand that knowing isn't always doing.
DeleteLesson learnt...
ReplyDeleteLife is a continuation of lessons. If we are lucky we pay attention and keep it moving.
DeleteLove this. This is what i've been telling myself - Adiya, be in the moment. May God give us the wisdom to know what to do and when.
ReplyDeleteHope you and your girls have been fine :D

Ah my friend that is the trick not just know, but how to use, when to use and in the appropriate we for the right reasons.
DeleteThe girls are good, grown. I just step back and let them be.
Excellent advice! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThank you, I try to put it in writing as a reminder to myself to never forget, to keep me humble.
DeleteWell I think it's all part of being human. We are continuously faced with decisions. It is the tricky part deciding whether or not to answer or what to say if you do. We are always being tested. Hopefully one can make the appropriate decision. If screw up, well to quote Billy Joel, "You're only human. You're supposed to make mistakes."
ReplyDeleteThats the thing, choices, its a blessing and a curse because sometimes the consequences can be horrific.
Deletewow,this i find Enlightening.. Haven`t been here in a min.. :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings Rhapsody..
