“Character is primary everything else is transitory”
No matter who you are, where you’re from, your ethnic background, social class, religious practices and economic status, figuring out the kind person you want to be is important.

True dat!
ReplyDeleteI agree with that and in my own words have said that for a long time. First, character..the rest will follow and too, it is transitory.
ReplyDeleteYou can say that again
DeleteSo true. But often people don’t figure out what they believe or think until after a life altering mistake or trauma.
ReplyDeleteSPEAK…SPEAK!.
ReplyDeletepHAT oNE,dEE….
You’re right, dearie. While it is trite that no one can cover his/her personality, it is nonetheless true that the sky is the limit for anybody’s achievements.
And sure, we can reach for the sky and beyond the sky to be what we want to be.
Which reminds me of an advert that used to run in this part of the world some months ago….”the sky surely looks down on buildings, may the buildings look up to you….”.
Trust you’re doing great.
hmmmmmmm......interesting insight
DeleteYou are right. A good human being is something rare and if we can work towards being one nothing else would matter. Happy New year.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right, we are ever a work in progress and once we hold ourselves accountable for our actions, words and deeds then we are closer to the unattainable PERFECTION.
DeleteWORD. Happy New Year Rhapsody ;-)
ReplyDeleteSame to you my Darling
DeleteVery true.Irrespective of the circumstances we are placed, good or bad, it is in us to shape the kind of person we wish to be.
ReplyDeleteI have just paraphrased your beautiful line.
You are absolutely correct in your assessment and beautifully paraphrased.
DeleteSo very true!!
ReplyDeletethank you, its lessons learnt and relearnt
DeleteRhapsody Ji
ReplyDeleteRight you are. A person with sound & sterling character is always well respected and can forever hold his head high. You can buy almost anything else but not character.
Namaste Ram
Well said Ram, how eloquent your wording
DeleteYp. Character is the base line. All else follows.
ReplyDeleteConcering MSN. I have had MSN Premium email since 2000. It was bundle with Verizon. As of March 1st the two companies are going their separate ways. If I want to continue using MSN as my email account I would have to pay a monthly charge. If I don't sign up for MSN Premium before March 1st my email account will disapear. I too have a ton of pictures on skydrive. I dont know if they will disapear though. I don't care because I have all my pictures saved here at home. I don't know if the Windows live stuff will be affected. The email I recieved only mentioned the email account.
Without a solid foundation one is simply living on quick sand and we all know how that goes.
DeleteI am thoroughly confused with all these changes. I am still miffed that they closed SPACES but like all changes in life you adapt and keep it moving.
I feel like agreeing with and repeating what Mr. Ramakrishnan said. However, there could be differences in perception about its connotations. Orientals may have a different view. Thanks for your visit and your kind remarks.
ReplyDeletehmmmmmm......"Orientals may have a different view" I am a bit puzzled by this statement, can you elaborate please?

Peace.
Learning and implementing knowledges is the key, now we only need to be open to the learning and growing and making sound decision all will be well.
DeleteRight! Cos if we don't figure out who we want to be then we end up sailing through life without direction and priorities. Figuring out who we want to be helps us make life changing decisions and the attitude to deal with the consequences of those decisions.
