22 We Lived In The Real World

We lived in the real world.
We had little material things.
We laughed.
We sang.
We danced.
We played.
We partied.
We prayed.
We held each other,
Competed hysterically about who could burp louder,
The neighbours and grandma listened in horror
As we got louder and louder
We talked.
We walked.
We never judged.
We lived in the real world,
Had little material things
Yet...
We had everything
We had love,
unconditional.

In loving memory of Barbara Duprey

  1. When we have love and laughter we have it all...

Your sharing made me smile big because that is how life should be...

    Well, maybe without loud burps.

But then a woman who can burp loud is one good woman.

    Be well my Canadian friend...Greg

  3. This was when life was truly innocent. Now-a-days nobody has time for this much "fun", we are way too busy and caught up with the bills, issues and just life itself! Those were truly happy days, I really wish that life would get back to being so simple, easy and free.

  11. This expresses pure joy. There's only joy in relishes a loud burp. I wish the real world could be pure joy, but at least I have my dreams. :)

    Thanks for visiting and commenting.

  13. Rap, this is so good. Beautiful, just beautiful. Reminds me of our loud burps...and we always say "pig" to the burper...then break out into a giggle.

    Thanks for sharing this.

  21. Just wanted to thank you for visiting my space. I actually just read about your ‘journey’ to work. Utterly amazing at how people behave, not thinking of putting themselves in other’s shoes. I also wanted to thank you for visiting my space. Will send you a message asking you to join my tiny network, (until I find the time to invite others), if you’d like. Have a wonderful week blessed lady!
