Biggest lesson I have learnt in life thus far – to stop wishing and waiting for someone to do for ME what I can do for MYself. Being small, invisible and insignificant does not serve you in becoming the best you. Be your own Champion
Learn to give to yourself that which you wish others would give to you
Compassion
Forgiveness
Understanding
Acceptance
Tolerance
Encouragement
Inspiration
Motivation
Direction
Knowledge
Advocacy
Validation
Honor
Respect
Truth
Love
Unconditional love
It starts within
Do the work
Set the standard
One day at a time
Moment to moment
Second by second
You are well worth the time
Be that which you desire
Be
Love
Live

This is such a powerful post, my friend. Just beautiful. And, it is so true, something I learned late in life. Late, yes. But, I am glad I finally "got it". I wish I could copy and paste this to hang on my bathroom mirror. Siiiiiigh...
ReplyDeleteBlessings and thank you.

Absolutely!
ReplyDeleteWow well thank you miss Toinlicious you have surfaced, welcome back.
DeleteWithout loving ourselves and giving to ourselves what we need... no one else will be able to give this... I remember hearing how people always talk about finding their other half and how they fit together so well... what I learned that day many years ago was that I should never look for or be a half, I should look for a whole and be a whole... that is the way to really have love because we won't be looking outside ourselves for it xox
ReplyDeleteRight you are Launna, no halves rather the whole self. I always say the same thing, I am not half a person so why would I want a half a person. And, what if we are the same half, then what, well both be dead in the water and stuck like boots in thick mud? Where is the fun in that, plus its not healthy, that's just two broken people trying unsuccessfully to be whole. Two people need to be whole so that they can compliment each other not be broken mess pretending to have it together.
DeleteThank you for this. I will memorize it! :-)
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome. If you wish a copy. I can send it to you. Let me know.
DeleteHi Rhapsody thank you for this , a good reminder to be true to oneself. Finding a partner does not always full fill our happiness we can only find it within ourselves.
ReplyDeleteLovely to catch up today.
