14 Hands–My Hands

Hands

Hands

My hands

I am thankful for my hands

Hands that I rely upon to speak when words escapes me

Hands I often use as an extension of my expressions

My compassion

My skills – written, organizational, artistic

My joy

My hands

They are a blessing

They assist instinctively

Without hostility

Without complaints

Without objection

My hands,

In loyalty they help me continuously, effortlessly

To prepare meals

To manage my self-care

To care for others

To express love, sympathy and empathy

To communicate alternatively ensuring I am understood

My hands

They have never failed me

Even when injured they continue to support and sustain me

They have allowed me to hold, care and embrace my children

Squeeze my God sons and tickle them till they are breathless

Style my hair with attitude to express my mood.

My hands

They are a gift

A gift from God for whom I clasp them together in prayer and say thank you

I am grateful for my hands

My hands are a joy.
