Absolutely sickening. Poor little girl!
ReplyDeleteSadly its the norm!
DeleteThis makes me sick!!!!! I was an elementary school teacher and when I think about what could happen to children like my students in those countries...
ReplyDeleteI'm out of words to describe the sadness, anger and disgust I feel.
I wish i can say its exclusive Yemin, unfortunately it is not. It is truly sad the extent human beings go to justify and continue their depravity.
DeleteIt is depravity at its cruellest form to subject an eight year old child to this torture.Minimum age limit must be enforced
ReplyDeleteAbsolute depravity......
DeleteIt says a lot to state of human consciousness when laws has to be legislated to instruct human behavior
this is an insane world.
ReplyDeleteSure you're right
DeleteOh how sick poor little girl words fail me.
ReplyDeleteI concur
DeleteHaa. This is heart breaking. Will the guy get punished for this undercover crime?
ReplyDeleteSurprisingly this is no undercover crime my friend, horrifically its the norm in this part of the world.
DeleteIs it not illegal to marry a eight year old girl to a forty year old man. I am sure the girls parents and the man get severe punishment.
ReplyDeleteNamaste....
DeleteI am at lost at your statement, what exactly do you mean?
Are you saying that the non-legality of the law by virtue of not having it written into laws sanctioning the appropriate marriage age of young girls negate us from human decency. Does not having it legally sanction by law nullify ones humanity? Does it mean automatic consent to pervasive sexual violation of children?
what I mean is it is illegal to marry such a young girl. Obviously, the parents of the girl would have taken a large amount of money to marry off the girl. It is also illegal for a man to marry a young girl who is under aged according to law. So both the parents of the girl and the man should punished severely for this marriage. Of course the man should also be punished for brutality which resulted in the girl dying.
Deletehmmmmmmm....thank for sharing and returning to answer my question
DeleteAs a mother of 3 daughters, all under 10, this breaks my heart to even think about. This is wickedness of the highest order. It's so disgusting!!!
ReplyDeleteYes it is and legitimized as "culture and tradition"
DeleteYou are so right, there are no words for this type of evilness. It sad and tragic that such things continue to happen.
ReplyDelete....and that is what makes it horrifyingly sad - that it continues
DeleteI have no words. The other day I received a call from a friend (an aged lady) who had a maid servant aged 26. She has 6 children and the eldest daughter is already married. She wanted me to imagine at what age she would have been married.
ReplyDeleteMercy, the things human beings do to each other and the things some are focused to endure in the guise of "normalcy" and "tradition"
