There are no,
IFs
ANDs
or
BUTs
There just,
IS
You can,
If you choose,
Argue the point,
Bemoan the how and the why
If that is what it'll take to make you feel better
But
It won’t change the fact
that
It IS
what it IS
Why Argue?
If you copy this piece in part or in whole and do not give credit and link back here to Rhapsody Phoenix then you stole it. In other words….
You are a thief.
It’s that simple.

ReplyDeletelove received, thank you, right back atcha
DeleteThe IS is right on the money. It is our perception of IS that makes the difference.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely.

hmmmmm, sometimes venting is good, though its always wise to choose the time and place to let loose.
Deleteit is really a good poem!
ReplyDeletethanks Eric
DeleteFabz,
ReplyDeleteI see you’ve "waxed poetic" in several recent blog entries. Nice work, as always. It appears that you and I are STILL kindred spirits that the Muses of Poetry force to write poesy from time to time, huh?
Take care,
Richard in Texas
Kindred spirits we are.....
Deletelol, you take care too Richard
Blessings to you.
ReplyDeleteMany returns my dear, thanks
DeleteI rather walk away and take in a sunset..
ReplyDeletehmmmm, you and me both
DeleteIt IS what it is, why argue....yeah..no ifs, buts, maybe. There's no time to wallow in "what should have been"
ReplyDeletetrue enough, its just torture on the psyche.
DeleteSo very true!
ReplyDeletethanks Beth
DeleteArguments never solve anything. I have known people who argue just for the sake of it or to hear their own voice it seems. These individuals are sad indeed and they don't realize they are just driving people away instead of drawing them closer.
ReplyDeleteAh, an astute point. Thanks for sharing.
DeleteWord.. Your disclaimer though, serious but got me cracking up.
ReplyDeletehmmmm, Darling, a bit rough you think? I can be a bit blunt.
DeleteWell, one cannot take people's work/effort for granted. I am not saying am not willing to share, am just asking to honor my work by asking and not just taking.
Glad you had a good laugh.
You have a point and i strongly agree. :)
DeleteI agree with you Sis. Why argue and waste precious energy?
ReplyDeletehmmmm, there is a point in some discussions when you can tell its not going anywhere rather it circulates like a dog chasing its tail and all it does is take a told on your psyche and create stress in the body.
DeleteI liked the message but not the foot note though made in a spirit of fun.One wins an argument only by weakening a friendship.
ReplyDeleteNamaste my friend.
Deletesometimes in life, footnotes are necessary to those who take liberties without honoring the work of those they see to hold.
It is what it is....Truth
ReplyDeleteYeah, and why what IS?
DeleteHa!! May the Lord teach us all how to deal with disagreements!
ReplyDeleteAmen
DeleteArguing sure does drain my energy. I rarely do. I don't see the point.
ReplyDeleteIt does at that.....
Delete"You can if you choose" True that! why argue? Its what it is...
ReplyDelete"You are a thief" LOL!!!
absolutely....
DeleteWell, isn't taking without consent considered theft?
Wish everyone could see it like that Rhapsody... Argue waste of time and energy
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a good weekend.
Sheila
Some of it comes with time and experience and a willingness to not always be RIGHT.
DeleteDon't you have the right to argue if you think you are right? Some people argue because they think they are always right. Some people do it for sport.
ReplyDeleteIt is one thing wanting to be heard and another wanting to right. Right is relative. I guess the thing you have to ask yourself is, would i rather be right or would I rather be heard and understood.
DeleteI don't like to argue, but sometimes I have to be careful not to state my case too too forcefully and forget to be respectful.
ReplyDeleteah that is a wise way, thank you for sharing that....to remember to be respectful.
DeleteI admit I am one of those who love to argue, or maybe debate a point, but only if I think it is not a FACT and never to fall out with someone else. Some times I do it for fun :)
ReplyDeletehmmmmm, i think we all have a little of that within us. There is not wrong with debating however as Kay so wisely said, we need to "remember to be respectful." Often arguments deteriorates into name calling, demoralization and fists fights--these we need to be cognoscent of.
DeleteCertainly can't argue with that :)
ReplyDeletehaha...
DeleteI have to admit that I have adapted this attitude. I choose if engaging is worth my time and investment. I ask myself, 'how much of this is me, how much is the other person, is the topic worth it, can i get my point across without losing complete control of my composure.
Very interestingly straightforward! I like it.
ReplyDeleteStraightforward is nice...there is no wondering, no doubt, it just is what it is.
DeleteHmmmn...true
ReplyDeleteFood fr tot
Yes it is, sometimes it pays to find other healthy was to communicate our needs and point of view rather than in an argument.
DeleteWise talk. Sometimes, it is pointless to argue. It does not change what 'IS.' Nice one. Hilarious disclaimer, but so true.
ReplyDeletehmmmm.....sometimes disclaimer's are required to those who take "privileged" liberties with works not belonging to them.
