36 Some Things Are Better Left Unspoken

Some things, once unravelled cannot be re-wound precisely as it were before to presented with an untouched quality as the slightest change leaves its mark even if it’s invisible to the eye.

MY POINT:
Not everything felt should be expressed; some things are better left unsaid because once spoken, it cannot be unspoken.

  2. Ugh, I have a hard time not saying everything I feel..lol I tend to be brutally honest sometimes. Then there are times that I shut myself off and dont say a word.

    1. Thank you. It is true for us as well. At times we think our everyday living is the same and while that be true on a grand scale it is in the minute things were we continue to change everyday, eventually it all adds up it is only then its recognized as change.

  4. RE: Some Things are better left Unspoken"Least Said, Soonest Mended" ?…d2d: i see where you are coming from and i thank you for caring enough to tell me how you feel. i love you. the intentions from your heart is kind. that is clear— im proud to be a friend, to be called your sistah but even then we have to be able to agree to disagree… Mindfulness Thought is indeed worth the ponder and scribble i could easily a dissection on this but im not gonna do that. lol. instead, i take your words: "MY POINT:
Not everything felt should be expressed; some things are better left unsaid."
‘rarely do i explain myself and im attempting to try cos i value our friendship much.you know, i am unable to control what others think or feel and nothing have i said was offensive nor vulgar nor untrue. i rest with a clear conscience so I SHALL JUST RESPOND TO YOUR POINT WITH A QUESTION: Surely I am allowed to say and express all that i feel no??

    1. Absolutely....you are! You are correct neither of us has the capability to control what another feels and does however you being the brillant woman that you are know that at times its wisest to choose ones battles wherever possible.

  5. To go along with that, an old man told me, " it is better to be thought a full than to open one’s mouth and confirm it." LOL! God Bless you and Hotep.

  9. exactly…..silence speaks volums, right?
    unspoken words,,,
    unexpressed feelings,,,
    actions concealed,,,
    thoughts fabricated…
may be thats why the appearance is so deceving…..

so how you doing? me seems to be ok..
    smile

    1. Sometimes its all in the appropriateness, time and place so to speak. Thoughts need not be fabricated, neither does actions need to be concealed, one simply can at times choose ones time to respond or not respond. There are times when silence is its own revolution.

Similar to a post you wrote in the past...about silence being golden.
I am learning to reduce my bluntness,,,,,it is not everything the eyes sees or the ear hears that the mouth should speak, says a common adage in my country.

    1. Its all about choosing your battles, spending your energy as you dictate and not what others would have you spend it on. Some times if you count to 10 by the time you get to 10 you realize its not worth your time, energy or the effort it takes to expend.

    Yes, I agree...

The shorter the prayer the more we can listen too. Now I shall take my cup of coffee outside to listen.
Thanks for the reminder and you and your loved ones be well.

  14. sorry it took me this long to come back and follow you again

i think i use to have this thought in my head one time like that...wondering how it got there in the first place..loool
but you're so right...somethings happen in my life and i'm like, or rather something is like..."shhh...babe...leave it, let it pass, NOT a word.''...its so hard but i just have to pray for grace and then sometimes i act silly and i spill my whole heart out and get into trouble of words cos those words really hurt... and words are like toothpaste, once spilled out, can never be forced back in..
and like you said, some words are JUST better left UNSAID!!!
    nice post rhapsody

    1. Better late than never. Yeah sometimes getting the lesson is the lesson and the hardest to learn especially when our hearts on the line but it is because our hearts in on the line that its imperative we learn or burn, burn, burn until we get it.

Don't be so hard on yourself, just ask yourself, what is the lesson here? What do you want to to see lord, what do you want me to know, show me in a way I can comprehend and apply in the right time, for the right circumstance in the right moment.
