18 The Nature Of Things

The stillness of the evening flows effortlessly
No input needed from humanity
It moves steadily on its own volition
Casting shadows into the vanishing light
Playing peek-a-boo it announces the closing daylight
Its majestic glow fading little by little
Graciously giving way for the moon’s foray
Regally it saunters in center stage
A radiant back drop chorused by artificial luminosity
Car lights
Street lights
Store lights
House lights
Come on simultaneously
Like a great symphony
It all moves in harmony

  1. A common daily occurence like the day yielding to night is so wonderfully and realistically portrayed in words of charm that proves the point that things seem very different and elegant in the eyes of poet. Thanks Rhapsody.
