It is a skill worth learning.
It is a journey in observation,
The examination of thought, and action,
That eventually brings wisdom, & the eloquence of knowing
When to speak,
What to speak,
Where to speak,
How to speak
In the appropriate way,
At the precise time
With just the right execution
Learning the art of silence brings with it the knowledge and understanding that sometimes not everything needs to be said.

I love being silent. I spend alot of time alone so this is something that I know to be true. Very good post!

DeleteYep, as the saying goes, "silence is golden".
ReplyDeleteIt certainly can be.
DeleteWell said. I like this particular post as it reminds me of raising Jordyn. Many times I had to tell her that everything that came to her mind did not have to come out of her mouth.
ReplyDeletehmmmmm, I remember those scoldings from my grandmother as well. Only she said, "not everything you chew you have to swallow."

DeleteExcellent. It is not necessary to speak always and pronounce an opinion on any and everything. Most of what we have had spoken would not have made any difference if not uttered at all.Speak if one must but with brevity.Silence adds to powers of observation and mental strength. It is tough initially but silence comes by practice.
ReplyDeletethis is so true and one of the most challenging lessons to learn in life.
