23 LOVE, Unconditioned

Unconditional love, we all want it, crave it, yearn for it. All that needing, yearning, wanting, begs the question:
  • Do you know what it is to love unconditionally?
  • Can you give  unconditional love?
  • Would you recognize when its freely given?
  • If you are blessed to receive unconditional love would you treasure it?
  • Will you embrace it if it comes in a package other than your expectation
or
  • Will you throw it away in hopes that it will shows up only as you desire it?
If you don’t know how to love unconditionally, are you willing to learn, are you open to asking, understanding, growing and doing the work to achieve love unconditioned.

  2. Good post. Those are great questions to ask myself. Nothing like good self-assessment.

We want to be loved unconditionally, but are we willing to do the necessary work of learning to give it unconditionally? Definitely a good lesson in selflessness.

    1. Isn't that always the way though? We want what we want when we want it and we are not always willing to give that which we ask for in return.

      thanks for sharing.

  5. In this selfish & materialistic world there are very few who are capable of unconditional love. And those who display this rare character are virtually saints or angels. It is generally quid pro quo - I love you but you love me back :)

  6. All love have strings. There is nothing like unconditional love.May be for a short time in the initial exuberance. The intensity changes. There are expectations in everything in human life. But then people learn to live with adjuustments without that mythical concept of unconditional love.

  7. I don't think I've been tested about the unconditional part. I'm pretty sure I have it for my husband, mother and children, but they haven't done anything to make me not love them. I wonder...

  11. You do come up with the most interesting and though provoking topics to write about :)

I find myself unable to give easy answers to your questions...

  12. These questions are indeed thought provoking. Like others have admitted, there are no easy answers to them 'cos as imperfect human beings, it takes divinity to help us love unconditionally; but we can sure learn.
